Ukrainians Learning About Golf at Kyiv Golf Center

Twenty years ago the Ukrainian people knew about golf only from books and movies. The game wasn’t very popular in the former Soviet Union, so there were no golf courses at all. Nowadays the situation has changed, but this change is rather slight. There is only one big golf center in Ukraine. It is located in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. This golf center corresponds to all standards of the game, and every year it is gaining more and more popularity among the citizens of Kyiv.
The golf center provides individual classes with a coach as well as group classes. Kids can get practical golf skills and good theoretical background including golf history and golf rules at kid classes of the golf academy.
The main reason people visit this golf center is, of course, to play golf. The golf complex, a four-story building, built on the bank of the Dnieper River, has a two-tier, full-length driving range built by Canadian specialists. The driving range is where all golfers first become acquainted with the game. This is where golfers learn the basics of how to swing before teeing off for the first time.
However, there’s much more about the driving range than just learning. After a player starts hitting expert shots – with the help of the instructors if necessary – they will want to play in a contest. The golf center provides plenty of opportunities for that, with regular competitions like closest to pin, longest drive, etc.
Each of the 38 hitting stations has enough space for 6-8 persons at a time and offers a marvelous view. There’s enough room for players to hit balls with any club, watch friends, relax on the cozy couches, or enjoy a meal at a private table.
Players with their own clubs can play with them, and the beginners can rent clubs to see if they like the game. Practice balls are given to every visitor in unlimited quantity.
People who are used to taking everything seriously usually try to get their swings correct from the very beginning. A lesson with an instructor can be ordered through the reception desk. However, guests can try to master golf on their own, reading books, with the help of more experienced friends, or any way they like.
The center’s pro shop (the first of its kind in Ukraine) has clubs, balls, gloves and other things necessary for the game. Polo-shirts, sweaters, wind-protected suits, other clothes and accessories from the leading world companies, including those with the first logotype of the golf centre in Ukraine, are available.
A corporate golf party is probably one of the most popular ways to spend spare time in the world business culture. Companies organize such activities for their employees using golf for new-project presentations and for establishing and strengthening contacts with business partners. The Kyiv complex has ideal conditions for organizing golf-parties including a convenient location, excellent restaurants, and a large area.
The golf practice field is open from 10:00 until 20:00 every weekend. The prices include: first 50 balls costs 100 UAH, additional 50 balls - 50 UAH; rent clubs: iron - 25 UAH, wood - 29 UAH.
