Kiev Center Events Schedule for September

The International Exhibition Centre (IEC) in Kyiv is the biggest expo building in Ukraine and combines three premium-class pavilions into a unified architectural ensemble with 58,000 square meters of total area.  This includes 28,018 square meters of exhibition area designed to be capable of handling any kind of exhibition project and to facilitate events of varying scales and levels of complexity.


Since opening in October 2002, the IEC has become a recognized leader in staging authoritative domestic and world forums. During last three years more than 200 international exhibitions have been held at the IEC with about 50,000 exhibitors and nearly two million visitors.

Today the IEC also organizes several prestigious exhibition events of its own. Most of them are supported by respective ministries, departments and associations. International forums are held under the auspices of the Government of Ukraine and with participation of top state executives, who recognize the importance of these events and often attend.

Some of the IEC’s most prestigious annual events include international forums such as: "Arms and Security" (weapons, protection facilities and special-purpose engineering), "AgroForum" (technologies and equipment, farming machinery, provender milling and veterinary science), "Protection Technologies" (emergency warning equipment and facilities), "CommunTech" (engineering technologies and equipment for municipal economies), "Aqua-Ukraine" (a unique forum that embraces the demonstration of up-to-date means and technologies of water prospecting, recovery, treatment and supply, along with a broad scientific and applied program on the issues of water storage and protection, water supply industry legal provision and other urgent problems), and "Fuel and Energy Complex of Ukraine: the Present and the Future.”

For September 2008 the IEC has the following schedule of events:

Sept. 2-4 – KYIV FABRIC 2008: The 5th specialized exhibition of fabrics and accessories.
Sept. 3-5 – BABY FASHION 2008: The 5th specialized exhibition of children’s fashion.
Sept. 9-12 – INPRODMASH 2008: The 17th international specialized exhibition of equipment and technologies for the food industry.
Sept. 9-12 – UPAKOVKA 2008: The 9th annual international specialized exhibition of equipment and technologies for packaging.
Sept.  9-12 – SWEETS UKRAINE 2008: The 14th annual specialized exhibition for the confection industry.
Sept.  9-12 – ALCO + SOFT 2008: The 13th annual international specialized exhibition of the beverages industry.
Sept. 17-19 – INDUSTRY OF ENTERTAINMENTS 2008: The 15th annual international specialized exhibition of slot-machines, equipment and furniture for casinos.
Sept. 17-19 – LIGHT 2008: The 8th annual specialized exhibition of lighting units and accessories.
Sept. 17-19 – MASTERS OF SHOW 2008: The 2nd annual specialized exhibition of technologies for conducting celebration events.
Sept. 21-23 – RUBBLE AND STONE WORKING 2008: The 5th annual international specialized exhibition of stone-working equipment.
Sept. 23-25 – PLASTUKRAINA 2008: The 5th annual international specialized exhibition of modern achievements and technologies in the plastics industry.
Sept. 23-27 – PRIMUS: WOODWORKING INDUSTRY 2008: The 16th annual international exhibition of machines, equipment, technologies and instruments for the forestry and wood-working industry.
Sept. 23-27 – TECHNOLOGIES OF WOODWORKING IN THE 21 CENTURY: The 3rd annual international congress organized in cooperation with the Higher School from Rozenkhayma (Germany).
Sept. 23-27 – PRIMUS: FURNITURE INDUSTRY 2008: The 9th annual international specialized exhibition of materials, components and accessories for furniture production.
Sept. 24-26 – FUEL AND ENERGY COMPLEX OF UKRAINE, PRESENT AND FUTURE: The 6th annual international forum devoted to technologies, equipment and materials for electric-power, coal, oil and gas enterprises.
Sept. 24-26 – POWER ENGINEERING FOR UKRAINIAN INDUSTRY: The 6th annual international specialized trade fair of energy machine-building, industrial electrical engineering and electrical power supply; industrial lighting; power engineering for apartment blocks, agro-industrial complex and transport; and alternative energy resources and energy-saving technologies.
