China Seeks Stronger Relations With UkraineBy Nova Mova from Internet sources.
China has formally stated a commitment to increase its trade relations with Ukraine. During an October 22 meeting in Beijing between Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu and Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Ivan Vasyunyk, Hui said that he believes trade cooperation should be facilitated further in the future.
The meeting was part of the 10th meeting of the China-Ukraine Joint Economic and Trade Committee and marked the latest in a series of frequent high-level visits between officials of the two governments. Hui hailed the progress of bilateral ties over recent years and noted that Ukraine and China are cooperating on a number of activities in important economic fields.
Vasyunyk said that the committee meeting was fruitful and pragmatic and that Ukraine attaches great importance to its relations with China. He added that Ukraine is also ready to improve its already strong bilateral trade cooperation. Ukraine is an important market for Chinese goods, and Chinese companies are making new inroads into Ukrainian markets such as pharmaceuticals and agriculture.
